Sydney Metro is Australia's biggest public transport project and first fully-automated metro rail network, connecting customers and transforming the way Sydney travels. The Opportunity
Right now, we have an opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor to join the Health & Safety Project Delivery team for the Metro West and Western Sydney Airport projects, where you will provide a range of specialist and consulting services to support the development, implementation and maintenance of health and safety systems and governance to ensure the on-going compliance of delivery partners with all relevant health and safety legislative, regulatory and contract readiness requirements.
Weekly travel to St Mary’s will be required.
You will be involved in:
Maintain the Health and Safety Management Plans, standards, and procedures to comply with relevant national and international standards, meet project and business objectives and ensure a secure, safe-working environment
Provide technical expertise and professional advice on health and safety issues as necessary to support compliance assurance and change control processes
Provide specialised input to health and safety training requirements including Safety Inductions and Core Safety Competencies to promote safe working practices
Undertake health and safety assurance activities with Delivery Partners
Provide independent verification of health and safety and risk reports / assessments, where required
Undertake and participate in site and other investigations and validations, ensuring clarity and implementation of recommendations where appropriate.
About you
You will have previous experience in a similar position supported by relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent. You will have experience working in a complex project environment and possess exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
You will be proactive and someone who takes responsibility for delivering on intended outcomes with the highest level of quality customer-focused service.

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience

Salary and Benefits
Transport Service Grade 8 ($118,015 - $132,176) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
