What will I be doing?

At BestStart Naenae we embrace the diversity of our Naenae community, building meaningful connections that provide children with rich learning opportunities and create a sense of belonging for them and their whanau. Our centre is divided into age-based learning areas with a strong focus on community, whanaungatanga, kaitiakitanga and learning. BestStart Naenae is proud to provide awesome opportunities for children and their whanau to learn and grow with us. We're conveniently located adjacent to Rata Street School, and have recently extended our centre so we can better meet the needs of our community by caring for children aged 0 to 6.

This position is permanent and full time, working with 4 year old's.

Role requirements:

• B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of programme planning/assessment, pedagogy and curriculum
• Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
• A team player - passionate and self-motivated about leading a successful team
