The Liger LeadershipAcademy NZ will open in Term 1 of 2022 and provide students with a rich projectand experiential-based learning in which all students will be prepared,inspired, and empowered to become catalysts for effective change in theircommunities.
The academy will share a common ethos, set of values, and vision -and draw inspiration from - its sister school, the Liger Leadership Academy,Cambodia.
The Head of School isresponsible for the effective general management of Liger Leadership Academy(LLA) New Zealand, providing academic leadership and strategic vision, and forthe successful, high-quality implementation of the LLA education model to a NewZealand context.
Responsibilities andduties include
Strategic and Budgetary Planning
Implement the school's strategic plan
Review the performance of the school based onthe goals of the strategic plan
Responsible for all financial mattersincluding planning, resource allocation, monitoring expenditures, etc.
Staffing
Conduct all staff recruitment matters
Create and maintain a supportive workingenvironment
Conducting staff review and development
Implement probation reviews with all newlyappointed academic staff
Implement grievance procedures for staff
Carry out disciplinary procedures for bothstaff and students.
Teaching and Learning
Ensure that facilitators maximize theirpotential
Successfully implement the LLAproject-based / experiential learning programme
Measure program success regularly
Implement the regular review, evaluation anddevelopment of programmes
Other
Represent LLA both internally and externally
Project partners
Meet with parents regularly
Report to the board of directors monthly
Experiences and Skills
School Leadership : at least 3 years’ experience as a school leader required. Minimum 2years in a leadership / director / principal role in a project-based learningeducation environment.
Education : Master's degree, or equivalent, in an education-related field
License : Current teaching oradministrative license from home country, state, province, etc.
Reporting Line : Reports directly to the board of education
