Job Description

We are recruiting for a Head of Product and Proposition to join The Aviva Zero Leadership Team .

Aviva Zero is a new greenfield Personal Lines insurer set up to be the best insurer in the market. It will combine the pace, focus, and test & learn mindset of a start up with the expertise, data and financial backing of Aviva.

The business will initially be focused on car insurance distributed through price comparison sites. The business will also help advance Aviva’s sustainability agenda, and our initial product includes carbon offsetting features.

We have been given a significant investment and have built our own flexible technology stack to enable us to execute continuous change based on learnings from state-of-the-art analytics. This role will be a key part of the Aviva Zero senior leadership team, driving forward changes to our customer experience and products to give brilliant customer and commercial outcomes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leading the product and proposition team.

  • Product & proposition strategy, roadmap & delivery (supported by change/IT teams).

  • Delivering and optimising market leading customer journeys across new business, renewal and servicing (predominantly through digital channels).

  • Identification and ownership of performance actions and testing to drive improvements across the journey.

  • Leading test and learn activity around user experience and journey.

  • Customer satisfaction tracking, reporting and action.

  • End to end contact strategy and customer communications. 

  • Customer servicing strategy and execution (supported by operations SME) 

  • Digital analysis and reporting.

  • Ensuring journeys meet conduct and regulatory standards (supported by risk and compliance teams).

Skills & Experience required:

  • Understanding of the drivers of performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Commercial aptitude.

  • Strong digital UX/CX understanding.

  • Strong leadership credentials.

  • Excellent communication skills including senior stakeholder management.

  • Confidence in constructively challenging the status quo and leading change.

  • Knowledge of selling car or home insurance through price comparison sites.

  • Experience of agile delivery is desirable.
