The Head Chef is responsible for leading their cluster of restaurants and teams in the business in a manner that will ensure that a professional and correct operation is always carried out. You’ll be responsible for the operation and organisation of the Kitchen by setting daily production levels and guidelines and delegating to the team. You’ll demonstrate effective management by flexing between coaching and directive leadership, also building effective relationships with support functions such as Food Halls, Restaurants, Food Safety, Distribution, Store Services and HR.
As the Head Chef, you’ll be managing the planning and forecasting of stock levels and orders, always ensuring compliance to all internal systems including SAP, and Workday. You’ll be reviewing staff deployment regularly with Senior Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure that the department in resourced effectively. In this role, you’ll also guarantee that Food Safety standards are adhered to by enforcing the high standard of hygiene and sanitation in all food-related outlets.

About you
You’ll have a strong track record of hospitality experience, ideally being confident in managing a multi-site operation within a high end or 5* hotel environment. This Head Chef role will be oversee the day to day operations of 3 of our highest profile sites - Afternoon Tea, The Champagne Terrace and our exciting new pastry focussed restaurant.
Having a great knowledge and passion for food and drink is essential. You’ll have great time-management skills and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills and a good attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels. Having good PC literacy is a must (Word, Excel and preferably SAP).
