Our client, who is a Premier Transport Logistics company are currently looking for a HC Yard Shunter and HR Drivers for their site located in Clayton South.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in Transport and around Trucks, looking for an ongoing career, as the role will become a permanent position for the right person after a trial basis.

Requirements for the Dayshift Yard Shunter role:

Must hold a valid HC licence (Heavy combination)

Must have driving experience (shunting experience highly desirable) 

Forklift licence advantageous but not essential

Duties involved in the role:

Preparing trucks and trailers around the yard for loading 

Strap, chain and all facets of load restraint 

Shunting trucks and trailers around the yard

Dayshift positions, early starts with plenty of overtime

Requirements for HR Drivers x 2 Day shift positions available

Must hold a valid HR Licence 

Experience driving 14Tonne Rigid preferred

Good knowledge of Metro Area

Skills and Attributes required:

Someone who is fit for purpose as it can be a physically demanding role

Willing to work in a team and put in to get the work done

Someone who is reliable and can work unsupervised

Excellent communication you must have great English written and oral skills, transport yards can be a dangerous place so you must be attentive and must have good listening skills with a good understanding of OHS safety requirements within the yard

Someone who is comfortable working around steel

Must successfully pass a pre-medical including D&A test

The client is looking to start the person ASAP, with an immediate start. The first day you will be required to undertake onsite inductions as well as load restraint training.
