Our client, who is a Premier Transport Logistics company are currently looking for a HC Yard Shunter and HR Drivers for their site located in Clayton South.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in Transport and around Trucks, looking for an ongoing career, as the role will become a permanent position for the right person after a trial basis.

Requirements for the Dayshift Yard Shunter role:

• Must hold a valid HC licence (Heavy combination)
• Must have driving experience (shunting experience highly desirable) 
• Forklift licence advantageous but not essential

Duties involved in the role:

• Preparing trucks and trailers around the yard for loading 
• Strap, chain and all facets of load restraint 
• Shunting trucks and trailers around the yard
• Dayshift positions, early starts with plenty of overtime

Requirements for HR Drivers x 2 Day shift positions available

• Must hold a valid HR Licence 
• Experience driving 14Tonne Rigid preferred
• Good knowledge of Metro Area

Skills and Attributes required:

• Someone who is fit for purpose as it can be a physically demanding role
• Willing to work in a team and put in to get the work done
• Someone who is reliable and can work unsupervised
• Excellent communication you must have great English written and oral skills, transport yards can be a dangerous place so you must be attentive and must have good listening skills with a good understanding of OHS safety requirements within the yard
• Someone who is comfortable working around steel
• Must successfully pass a pre-medical including D&A test
