As Caretaker you will be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and care of the buildings, equipment and furnishings of the Corps, inside and outside, to ensure that they are kept to a high standard. Obtaining quotations for additional and agreed work, following procurement guidelines. The setup of seating, table, platform and room arrangements to ensure that the Hall is laid out as required. Attention to detail and good communication skills are essential. You will be required to work to an agreed cleaning and maintenance /repair schedule in accordance with our Health & Safety procedures and COSHH requirements. A clean and valid driving licence (PCV 1D driving licence for minibus) is preferred.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

• Previous experience in cleaning and the proper use of cleaning equipment and maintenance tools.
• Knowledge of relevant health & safety requirements and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively, to a high standard and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow a cleaning schedule to ensure all of the building is cleaned on a weekly basis.
