Would you like to provide direct clinical care and improve outcomes for patients in a dynamic haematology and research department, all whilst living in one of the most liveable cities in the world?
The WaitematÄ District Health Board (WDHB) Haematology Service provides comprehensive clinical haematology and laboratory haematology services to a large and culturally diverse population of over 630,000 people in the west and north of Auckland, New Zealand. Inpatient services are based at North Shore Hospital while Outpatient clinics and therapies are provided across both North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals.
We are looking for a Research Fellow to join our well established team. We have a large and active research team which is well recognised nationally and internationally. This strong research focus allows us to provide patients with some of the latest novel anti-cancer drugs and treatment options. In addition we provide clinical services in malignant, thrombosis and laboratory haematology.

The natural environment and subtropical climate, stable political and social environment, and a comprehensive publicly funded health system were the top three contributing factors for Auckland achieving this spot in the rankings. Auckland is also famous for its easy access to beaches and bush walks, along with numerous high quality restaurants and wineries.
Applications are invited from individuals suitably qualified advance trainees in haematology or currently undertaking training. Applicants must have or be eligible to register with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the New Zealand Association of Salaried Medical Specialists’ collective agreement MOSS Scale.
