The Group Compliance team exists to ensure that Trust is embedded into Vodafone by design because without this Trust we cannot achieve Vodafone’s purpose of connecting for a better world or our strategy of deepening customer engagement. The team works with subject matter experts (e.g. Anti-bribery, Privacy, Cyber Security) to drive and improve programmes in three main areas:
Culture – Trust is built into our day to day actions and decisions as set out in the Vodafone Spirit and our Code of Conduct.
Process – key processes build Trust into our products and operations. This means policy is brought to life through user centric processes and tools that drive quality and efficiency.
Policy, control and assurance – Trust but verify. This means policy and control is embedded in day to day business operations and verified through high quality assurance.
The Group Senior Compliance Manager will lead two of these pillars (culture & policy, control and assurance) and will be responsible for line management of two direct reports. In addition, the individual will be responsible for managing the work of eight shared service centre employees who carryout volume control testing.
The role has a senior profile in the business with key stakeholders including: the Group Risk and Compliance Committee, Group ARC, Group HRD, Group Internal Audit Director, Directors of second line assurance functions (Director of Cyber security, Director of Group financial control and Directors of second line policy functions and local market Risk and Assurance Directors.
The role requires behavioural change skills, programme management stills, deep control design expertise, and technology implementation experience. As both areas are in a period of change the ability to deal with ambiguity, complexity is also very important.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Developing and implementing the Culture stratergy
- Developing and implementing the Policy and Control framework
- Enusring that the above programmes are embeded through great stakholder engaigement and strong programme management
- Development of the team
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Ability to manage multiple Director and above level stakeholders
- Culture – runing values based behavioral risk programmes
- Programme manaement – multiple projects and compeationg priorties
- Control and assurance technical skills
- Tehcnology implementation experience
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity

- Implementation of the programmes
- Senior stakeholder feedback
