Graphic design work for Jigmail
Are you interested in some freelance design work? Are you interested in making the world smile?
Everybody smiles when they solve a jigsaw puzzle. We are looking for a designer (or two) to bring these smiles to fruition by helping us design a series of generic virtual greeting cards with editable text over the top. 
This job is for Jigmail which allows customers to turn their own image and text into a virtual jigsaw, then allows them to email it to friends. But the cards that you will design will be ‘templates’ that customers can use if they don’t want to make their own jigsaw.
Jigmail is a new project built by a group of Wellington graduate students, funded by David Kelly who is an experienced software producer.
The cards are for subjects like birthday, Mother’s day, Easter, Valentine’s Day, thinking of you, get well, Christmas etc., as well as wedding and party invitations. There are possibly 100 cards to be done in the first instance. They are digital cards, one sided, no inside, so the heading/greeting sits on top of the image.
You can simply use the Jigmail editor to upload each card image and add the text on top.
If you want, you can use stock images and illustrations as a basis. Doesn’t have to be totally original. You could google examples of cards and invitations and do similar designs. The main thing is the design and the words need to be trendy/hipster, simple, and friendly.
Our first release of Jigmail is on the website below. It turns images into virtual jigsaw puzzles that you can send to people and these greeting/invitation cards are part of that. You will need to look at and use our editor (available on the site under “Make a Jigmail) to understand the concept
