Job Description

As our new Advisor you will be supporting the management of a number of Government grant schemes and funding programmes, including the One Billion Trees (1BT) Grant Fund, Hill Country Erosion (HCE) Fund, Afforestation Grants Scheme (AGS), and the Erosion Control Funding Programme (ECFP).

In this busy role you will work to deliver on the aspirations of the individual funds by working in partnership with Grantees to manage budgets, timelines and risk within their projects. 

Some key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Overall management of risk within each contract/project
  • Maintaining positive relationships with funding recipients and key stakeholders
  • Ensuring projects are met on time and within the contracted budget
  • Overcoming project challenges by leveraging your sound decision making skills

The option to work some 'flexible hours' from home maybe considered for this role for the right candidate. While this role is based in Gisborne candiates from Hawkes Bay maybe coinsidered if they are happy to travel. 

Mōu - About You

Ideally you will bring a mix of analytical and problem-solving skills and your ability to assimilate, interpret and communicate information to key internal and external stakeholders.

You will also ideally have had experience in fund management and/or contract management. Strong interpersonal and communications skills are needed, with the ability to deliver technical information in a simple and helpful way.  Experience in project management is also beneficial.

There is lots of variety in this role and you will work with people across New Zealand so there will be some travel required.
