What can you expect

The Gondola ride lasts around 17 minutes and stretches over 5 km up the mountain, transporting guests from the parking area to the Village. Gondola Operators scan lift passes and safely load/unload guests and their equipment from the gondola cabins in a fast-paced environment. Answering guest queries and moving freight on and off the cabins is an integral part of this position. This is a physically demanding position requiring manual labour, heavy lifting, and primarily operates outside.

This job might be right for you if you think you would enjoy:

• Greeting guests and sharing your knowledge about our awesome resort.
• Helping guests with their equipment and assisting guests to load onto the gondola safely.
• In peak periods, displaying and maintaining orderly traffic conditions.
• Moving freight on and off the Gondola.
• Being a lean, mean, snow removing machine.
• The great outdoors presents a variety of weather conditions. Be prepared for anything!

About You:

• Previous guest service experience and/or manual labor experience is an asset.
• You love interacting with people and have a positive, engaging and friendly attitude.
• It would be a great asset if you’re a competent skier or snowboarder, but this isn’t required to be a Gondola Operator.
• If you’re a competent skier or snowboard, or excited to learn, you should possess your own ski or snowboarding equipment or be willing to buy it on arrival.
• You’re able to execute and adhere to tasks with respect to company policies and procedures.
