Leading a diverse global property team, the Global Head of Property is primarily responsible for overseeing Toll’s properties globally, from developing property strategy to driving for effective executions. This includes the investment, disposal and leasing of properties, management of the portfolio of properties (income, expenditure, maintenance), Property Development (where Toll chooses to invest/develop) and designing and implementing Sustainable Facilities initiatives under the aegis of Toll’s Sustainability program.

Day to day operations will require the Global Head of Property to work closely with Toll’s leaders and teams to ensure they are achieving the optimum property solutions; lead important negotiations; stay on top of market insights to provide appropriate inputs for business decisions; manage and deliver property budget; assure the property plan is built and executed with proper record, review and forecast.

Looking after over 300 sites with a cumulative multi-billion-dollar investment and annual lease expenses of approx. $200m, the Property team and our property strategy play a crucial role in enabling Toll’s business decisions and in enhancing Toll’s relationship with our current and future customers, landlords and clients. Internally, the team works with the business to ensure the solutioning of ‘fit for purpose’ facilities at competitive costs.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role candidates will have:

  • Minimum of 20 years in the property industry with demonstrated knowledge of relevant real estate prevailing markets
  • Commercial nous, a straightforward pragmatic approach, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Extensive experience in managing property purchases, sales, rentals, and development
  • Broad ranging general commercial experience
  • Personal commitment to quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement
  • Business Case development/evaluation support
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • A strong leader and team player
  • Multi-tasking and good time management – ability to work with multiple stakeholders simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel as and when needed.
