Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimise relevant cell-based assays and perform screens using genetic approaches (siRNA, shRNA, CRISPR) to support pipeline projects
• Generate cell lines (over-expressing, knock-out, mutated, reporter) to support our technology-enabled drug discovery programmes
• Generate detailed SOPs and follow assay protocols
• Critically analyse and interpret data, define realistic timelines for studies and meet delivery deadlines to execute high impact studies
• Capture data using electronic lab books and databases such as Dotmatics
• Write guidance documents

We are looking for someone with:

• BSc, MSc or equivalent experience in biological sciences or a closely related discipline. Industry research experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with siRNA, shRNA and CRISPR technologies
• Experience with cell culture including primary and/or immortalised cells, hiPSC cells, organoid or 3D cultures
• Experience with ELISA, Western Blotting, RT-qPCR, flow cytometry or high content imaging
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
• Experience with automation is preferred
