Job Description

Key Functions & Accountabilities:  

  • Responsible for the logistics distribution of all materials to line maintenance locations across the system
  • Ensures that resources are available when and where they are needed while maximizing operational efficiency and minimizing costs
  • Responsible to ensure line materials are stored & distributed in accordance with company regulations 
  • Develop strategies and implement integrated processes for vendor direct shipping and receiving at line locations
  • Interface with supply chain business functions to help effectively execute the planning/replenishment process
  • Provides leadership, guidance and required training to union and management employees 
  • Responsible for development and implementation of policies and processes relating to logistics and distribution
  • Responsible for the planning, procurement and management of line materials needed for AOG situations
  • Monitor service level goals in support of Maintenance & Engineering division
  • Oversee productivity and process improvement initiatives within Logistics and Line Maintenance operations
  • Have ultimate accountability for and demonstrate actual performance against goals on a regular basis on behalf of the Corporation
  • Be accountable to recognize, develop and engage talent in order to achieve high level of performance and to enable success.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the aviation and transportation industry mandatory
  • Experience with order replenishment systems 
  • Must have experience with integrated supply chain and logistic concepts 
  • Must be able to communicate supply chain objectives clearly and convey the benefits to the organization 
  • Experience in supply chain inventory management, sourcing preferred
  • Versed on regulatory (SOX) compliance requirements
  • Must possess excellent and demonstrable project management skills and experience in delivering large projects
  • Leadership and management of a large organization required including unionized employees
  • Good conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Recognized ability to work under pressure, handle stressful situations and maintain flexibility
