New Horizons Aged Care opened in 2003 with vision to design a 'home away from home' rather than a 'facility.' Winning numerous awards, we quickly established a reputation for providing specialist, high-quality care for people with a broad range of care needs in a personalised and authentic way. Consistently striving to meet or surpass the Australian Aged Care Quality Standards their state-of-the-art Aged Care provides safe, comfortable accommodation and around-the-clock care for up to 78 people.
About the Role
As New Horizons works through the next phase of their strategic growth plan, they are looking to add a General Manager of Ageing to further support a high performing finance team. As part of the leadership team at New Horizons, the General Manager, Ageing will drive the overall direction, planning, delivery and efficient management of the Aged Care operations. In addition to the essential criteria, you will also be responsible for:
Providing leadership, coordination and support to team members in regard to all aspects of Aged Care delivery, education, client management systems, quality control and improvement, while supporting projects, research and innovation
Actively promoting the culture of New Horizons and ensuring operations are conducted in a manner which supports the stated Purpose, Vision and Values.
Operational management of the Aged Care business to deliver best practice, drive outcomes, adhere to policies, implement strategic objectives and support people to achieve their goals
About You
An accomplished professional and well-rounded Aged Care Leader, you will have comparable functional experience gained in a fast paced, complex human services driven environment.
You will have comparable operational experience gained in a Residential Aged Care setting, in addition to;
Registered Nurse Division 1 with current Registration under AHPRA
Extensive experience overseeing the operational management of a dispersed workforce, ideally within a healthcare or human service setting
A demonstrated ability to manage multiple service lines and conflicting stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated high level knowledge and understanding of the Health and Aged Care Sectors, External Agencies including funding and policy protocols, accreditation and industrial legislation
Demonstrated sound financial management knowledge and skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience with managing and implementing continuous quality improvement systems and projects
