A field-based role, based in the Midlands region, you are the local ambassador for Boots within the recently established local NHS Integrated Care Systems (ICSs). This is an exciting time to join us and help shape the future of healthcare services in the Boots Healthcare Services Partnerships Team. The work of the Healthcare Services team has never been more important in helping Boots’ vision be the principal partner in reimagining healthcare and wellbeing for all as the leading healthcare services company in the UK.
You will sit within the Healthcare Services Partnerships Team, and reports into the Head of Healthcare Services Partnerships. The Healthcare Partnership Manager works with internal and external stakeholders to build external NHS ICS relationships, supports the local review of associated pharmacy contracts to ensure progression to contract signing and works with our field and store teams to maximise NHS local services revenue through insight and expertise.
You’ll get to work with, support, and learn from several functions across the business including our Superintendent Pharmacist’s Office, Legal Team, Finance Team, Tenders Team and Pharmacy Field Team, and liaising with and supporting relationships with our external commissioners.
In this role you will act as an expert and point of contact on Boots Healthcare Services offering - actively developing and maintaining external relationships, offering excellent customer service and educating relevant key stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with NHS ICSs and wider healthcare stakeholders in the region.
• Collaborates with the Head of Healthcare Services Partnerships to develop business plans for NHS Local Services and drive revenue growth
• Works in partnership with the Pharmacy Contracts Team to locally review and support the progression of pharmacy contracts to signing.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the healthcare services market and the customer, sharing insights with the relevant key stakeholders.
• Ensure clear and regular lines of communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Foster strong internal relationships with stakeholders across the Support Office, Field Teams, and Stores (e.g., Pharmacy Contracts Team, Regional Pharmacy Managers, Area Managers, Store Managers) to ensure effective follow-up, resolution of pharmacy contract issues, and the delivery of agreed service levels.
• A local ambassador for Boots and community pharmacy, leveraging engagement skills to support the delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services within their NHS region.
• Educated to degree level, scientific/business background preferred (or appropriate experience)
• Outstanding communication skills, able to engage various audiences on the benefits of Boots healthcare services offering
• Working knowledge of the NHS and/or experience in a healthcare environment advantageous
• Proven track record of delivering commercial results
• Excellent customer service, networking and relationship management skills
• Team player with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders to maximise performance
• Capacity to develop an understanding of the healthcare services industry and the NHS / ICS model
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence
• Experience working in partnership with NHS
