A Strategic Pricing Manager works to develop pricing strategies across Early Development (preclinical) toxicology, metabolism, crop & chemical, medical device, bioanalytical and CM&C studies. This is a client facing position that collaborates with Sales, Finance, Contracts, and Operational groups based on client requests. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to partner effectively with internal stakeholders and clients.
Due to an internal growth opportunity, we are looking for an individual with a Commercial and/or Scientific background to join our team and to work alongside our highly successful and dynamic Commercial Development team with colleagues located across the EU, US and Asia Pacific. You would be working with stakeholders from across the Early Development and Chemistry organization in a matrix environment and driving price performance through mitigation strategies to increase profitability. Big picture thinking and a ‘gets it done’ mentality are key attributes needed for this role where the individual will be required to drive price performance by partnering with Commercial and Operational leadership to attain pricing growth in the market. The Commercial Development team is a key part of the client journey, being involved from contract terms negotiation to pricing strategy, and touches every part of the Early Development business resulting in a highly varied and influential role.

Essential Job Duties:
Review, analysis of specific pre-win budget opportunities and programs while maintaining maximum profitability for the organization.
Client MSA rate card creation and RFI responses
Triage of opportunities within the Strategic Pricing team
Develop and negotiate commercial terms strategies
Attend and participate in internal review and prep meetings
Attend customer meetings, as applicable
Participate and support initiatives as assignee
Develop presentations for review and Executive Sign-off calls as necessary
Other duties as assigned
Applicable minimum years of experience in budget and/or text development, or an equivalent combination of education and CRO/pharma/other related experience to successfully perform the essential job duties
Minimum 5 years experience
Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and ability to be persistent while maintaining tact
Demonstrated computer skills – requires excellent MS Office experience (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook)
Knowledge of proposal management software applications (e.g., Salesforce.com, Qvidian, Proposal Automation applications) is preferred
Demonstrated text editing and writing skills (based on business unit and/or team expectations)
Demonstrated ability to plan, multi-task and prioritize
Demonstrated teamwork, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills
Proven ability to work independently
Ability to work to deadlines
Strong analytical skills
Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with internal stakeholders, clients and Labcorp senior management
Positive attitude and sense of urgency
Ability to work across Labcorp Business Units
Ability to provide limited team management activities
Ability to work irregular and/or extended hours as needed to meet the client’s proposal deadline.
