Our Climate Change and Sustainability Services team continues to grow and we are interested in speaking with talent individuals based in Sydney or Melbourne with ESG subject matter expertise and sales experience to serve the Oceania market. As the Senior Manager, Climate Change and Sustainability you'll lead the ESG Managed Services go-to-market strategy and execution methodology in collaboration with the EY Climate Change and Sustainability Services Digital Lead. You'll lead business development of EY's Climate Change services in Sydney or Melbourne and achieving sales targets, with a particular focus on working with our IT teams to win digital engagements (digital background is not required for this role).

• You'll work with the largest sustainability consulting team in Oceania! Our multidisciplinary teams help companies understand the risks and opportunities arising from climate change and sustainability issues, advising a large proportion of the ASX 200 to help them drive performance beyond their bottom line, this involves advisory services requirements for digital solutions, which would form a part of this role.

• Lead engagements, working with our clients to determine climate change and/or sustainability strategies, their reporting requirements to monitor performance, and with our internal IT teams to ensure that the digital solution meets the requirements.

• Building trusting relationships with EY's strategic alliance IT vendors- demonstrating excellent climate change and/or sustainability knowledge - to build credibility and leveraging those relationships to generate business opportunities and enhance market presence.

What we’re looking for 

Here’s our ‘wish list’ but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.  

• Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice as well as a good understanding of the issues within the Sustainability industry, such as the Modern Slavery Act, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), amongst others.

• Knowledge of, and experience in preparing sustainability reports and strategies, such as undertaking materiality assessments, peer benchmarking, stakeholder engagement activities and preparation of internal and external reporting.

• Practical experience with energy and emissions reporting schemes including National Greenhouse Emissions Reporting (NGER) scheme, the Safeguard Mechanism and the Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF); as well as climate risk advisory experience with the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) Framework.

• Experience responding to tenders or/and selling work.

• Experience facilitating training/workshops.
