Job Description

As Regional People Development Manager, you will promote a culture of learning and continued professional development at HC-One.  Working in partnership with leaders, key stakeholders and Personal Development Colleagues, you will shape, develop and deliver L&D plans and solutions in line with the changing needs and priorities of HC-One.

Operating as the lead L&D expert, you will consult, advise and support managers by providing high level people management and development support across designated areas.  You will commission services, projects or activities that support the delivery of HC-One and departmental strategies and objectives, leading by example as a role model for HC-One values and professional standards, driving the delivery of business and regional plans, ensuring continuous improvement and learning.

You will directly line manage and support the Learning & Development Facilitators in their roles, to support the delivery of the Learning & Development strategy, using your Coaching and Mentoring skills to enhance and develop your team to meet organisational needs.

Regular travel and overnight stays are required across a defined geographical area as part of this role.

About You

You will have an innovative approach to learning with the ability to consultatively communicate at all levels across the organisation, galvanising relationships with your team, the wider People Development Team and key Stakeholders, to enable you to design and deliver a fit for purpose Learning & Development offering.

You will work in partnership supporting the Learning & Development Facilitators via involvement in People Development Projects that underpin wider business initiatives, building insight into existing levels of capability against future requirements, identifying organisational skills gaps and risks.

With a relevant Learning & Development qualification, or a Training/Teaching qualification, you will have experience in providing learning & development expertise and practice in complex organisational settings, and be a hands-on people leader, coaching and mentoring your team across a large geographical area to inspire, coach and educate our Colleagues.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
