Job Description:

• Dispensing and dispensing drugs according to the doctor’s prescription. Monitor clients’ drug therapies, advise on interventions, and notify clients of any potential side effects. Instruct the client on how and when to take the prescribed medication. Perform health and wellness exams.
• Provide vaccines and other medical services, such as blood pressure, temperature, and blood sugar testing.
• Maintain accurate customer records.
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
• Fulfill pharmacy operational requirements including verifying order items, maintaining controlled substance records, charges, and removing expired and/or damaged medications from stock medicine. Comply with all applicable rules, regulations and legal procedures
• relating to the practice of pharmacy.
• Perform other administrative tasks as required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or pharmacy.
• Proven experience as a pharmacist.
• A valid license to practice as a pharmacist.
• Detailed understanding and knowledge of dosage and administration requirements, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical labels.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and software applications used by pharmacies, such as MEDITECH and Mediware.
• Great sense of organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
