Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join a dynamic team with the flexibility to be either remote or on-site with our client located in the Cambridge area. This job is a full cycle, stand alone Payroll position with a variety of functions, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. You should have strong communication skills so to effectively correspond between teams, like the internal team and outside customers. Key responsibilities
- Distribute and administer reports as instructed
- Correspond with employees via email and phone to garner approvals on timesheets
- Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Administer instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
- Run and build custom reports
- Collect and enter data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Enthusiasm when it comes to learning new systems and ideas
- Solid knowledge of full cycle payroll
- Process Bi-weekly and weekly Payroll experience
- Expense reports experience
- Solid understanding of Canadian Payroll
- Proficiency in payroll systems for 500+ employees
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent data entry skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
