Job Description

A new opportunity for Payroll Specialist to join our supportive and collaborative Payroll Team, based at Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush. 

As Payroll Specialist you will be responsible for governance and compliance of superannuation, taxation, workers compensation, and termination processes for over 6500+ employees across Toll Group.

Partnering with Payroll team, HR and functional groups you will assist in transforming our end to end processes to be efficient, streamlined and support Toll in delivering accurate and on time pay to employees.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Optimise the current processes for superannuation, taxation, workers compensation and termination processes, including the current super clearing house arrangements
  • Manage the monthly superannuation contributions and ensure compliance with legislation / Enterprise Agreements and Awards
  • Manage process and payment of workers compensation payments
  • Manage termination calculations, and ensure termination statements are prepared on time to meet employee consultation requirements
  • Conduct regular audits and seek to improve processes when issues arise. Develop SOPs for all payroll related processes.
  • Support internal and external audit requests for information.

Qualifications

To ensure your success, you will possess:  

  • 3 + years senior payroll officer experience
  • Strong payroll knowledge in GL reporting, STP, superannuation, terminations and compliance
  • Strong numerical skills and data analysis experience with the ability to provide insightful reports / solutions to address issues
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong team player, with a one team mindset
  • Intermediate/Advanced experience in MS Office/Excel and SharePoint, Preceda – highly advantageous.
