Toll Government and Defence unit are seeking a driven and adaptable Operations Manager to oversee the port services and operations for a high-profile Australian defence customer. In this role, the incumbent will liaise with customers, contractors and other personnel across the country to manage the day today contract management activities as well as operational service delivery. 

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Operations, Defence & Government, this role will base out of our East Arm site, and manage a team of 4 to ensure successful outcomes for customers and collaboration among the wider Toll Network

As the Contract Manager, you will:

• Manage the contracts, operations, facilities management and service delivery for external customers.
• Liaise with Sub Contractors for all services under the contracts.
• Assist the ‘Defence & Government team’ in negotiations with Agents and supplier contract renewals, & new contracts liaising with legal and commercial team
• Identify innovative solutions to underlying problems in practices methods or systems to improve operational excellence in critical areas such as quality, cost, customer service and sustainability in health, safety and environmental performance
• Utilise strong business judgment and business sense to interpret management issues and risks and identify solutions to increase the operational service delivery percentage.

Qualifications

 To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Previous experience in an Operations Management, Contract Management, or similar role.
• Strong customer management skills, with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks for successful outcomes. 
• A team player attitude, and alignment to Toll company values.
• Open C Class Drivers Licence
• Ability to be successful in obtaining relevant security clearances.
