There is lots of variety involved in this stimulating position, so you’ll need to be highly adaptable as you’ll be playing a key part in ensuring that our aircraft are ready for a safe. secure and on-time departures.

What your day-to-day looks like
 
As a Lead Ramp Agent (Station Attendant), you will be managing baggage and freight, plus operating a variety of equipment. You are a working member of the team and will provide guidance, coaching and assistance to Ramp Agents (Station Attendants), so that company standards are met and consistently always applied to ensure safety & optimal customer service, as well as on-time performance. You will also be:

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient on-loading and off-loading cargo and passenger baggage \\ Preparing aircraft for arrival and departure.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate crew and operational flight activities with all stake holders
  • Marshalling or towing aircraft to gate positions for passenger boarding and deplaning
  • On-loading and off-loading cargo and passenger baggage \\ Preparing aircraft for arrival and departure.
  • Driving and operating aircraft servicing vehicles and equipment 
  • Marshalling or towing aircraft to gate positions for passenger boarding and deplaning
  • Ensure compliance with established corporate uniform and safety equipment standards

Qualifications

Skills and experience required

Previous experience is required as a Lead Ramp Agent (Station Attendant) due to our comprehensive training program this is a role that carries a great deal of responsibility. Therefore, we have a number of key criteria to ensure your success: 

  • Strong leadership qualities & communication skills to delegate & carry out time critical decisions
  • Lead Station Attendant or supervisory experience on an airport ground operation 
  • Self starter, self motivated, able to work within strict timelines in order to maintain on-time performance while ensuring Safety First and Always 
  • Availability to work in shifts 
  • Able to lift heavy objects weighing up to 70 pounds (32 kilograms) 
  • Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions 
  • Capacity to work within strict timelines in order to maintain on-time departures  
  • Eligible to work in Canada 
  • Available to attend eight (8) to ten (10) weeks of full-time mandatory training 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations. Please refer to Transport Canada site for more details
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Posses a valid provincial driver’s licence
