Inventory Planning Manager

The International Inventory Planning Manager will be based in one of our Internation regional offices with a preference for Glasgow. There may also be travel required up to 15%. 

The Position will be part of our Global Supply Network (S&OE & Inventory planning) Leadership Team. As the BPO/SME in Inventory planning techniques will be accountable for SC-Fulfilment OTC and Inventory management processes. 

Acting as a Key interface with OU Planning teams and regional/local Market DRP/SNP teams to set and maintain inventory parameters, ensuring adherence to multi-echelon E2E inventory policy, driving the right products, to the right place at the right time, whilst monitoring Working Capital in line with business commitments.

Collaborating and supporting our SC Fulfillment teams based in NA & Asia and working in close collaboration with IT as an SME to develop an Inventory planning community to identify and share best practice techniques.


Role Responsibilities

  • Accountable for building an optimal E2E CFG multi-echelon Inventory policy across OU, Warehouses and Markets, in close coordination with global Production Planning teams when it comes to OU inventories, as well as DRP / SNP planners for the Regional Consolidation and Market Warehouses.
  • Ability to model the various stock scenarios based on existing protect in-stock position in Markets, working closely with global S&OE teams and BU/Markets Supply Planning teams through S&OE process.
  • Act as BPO by providing global SME leadership around the OTC and Inventory Planning to ensure consistent WoW for users and global governance of critical OTC processes such as ATP, Supersession, Allocation Management, Inventory Policy settings
  • Support capability building throughout all relevant users by building onboarding and education materials as needed and documenting process within the CoE framework.
  • Work closely with relevant teams to provide SC-Finance and S&OP teams the Latest Estimate (LE) CFG projections to be used YTD as well as support the budgeting process.
  • Effectively manage relationships and collaboration with key stakeholders in Fulfillment, S&OP and SC-Finance through regular contact, as well as issuing metrics and reports on Inventories and OTC adherence, effectively aligning corrective actions and initiatives to drive adherence and accuracy at optimal Service and Visibility.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Skills

  • Detailed knowledge of SAP-ECC, particularly Global-ATP required. SAP-APO / IBP desired.
  • Ability to use digital technologies to enhance/or/ automate manual processes.
  • Strong knowledge in DRP and inventory management techniques.
  • Ability to drive consistency in setting and maintaining parameters in-line with a multi-echelon E2E Inventory policy.
  • Basic understanding of Project Management skills

 

Education/Experience

  • Required - BSc Degree preferably in Business, Supply C,hain or Engineering.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Global / Regional DRP with a solid understanding of Inventory management.
  • 3+ years’ experience in using inventory modelling / planning tools.
  • Languages English (required) / Spanish (desired.)
  • Location - Glasgow (preferable) / Frankfurt or Madrid (optional)
