Responsibilities:

• Develop and implements new business applications, creating and modifying programming code
• Review business functional requirements and develops code to ensure new business applications are designed to meet specifications
• Maintain existing business application systems including miraging acquisitions ERP into existing
• Review business functional requirements and develops code to ensure business applications are modified to meet revised specifications.
• Contribute to the effectiveness of other team members through leadership, guidance, and training as required
• Manage development and maintenance projects ensuring programming deliverables and schedules are met
• Proven skill in debugging applications both methodically and intuitively.
• Ensure bugs and maintenance issues are dealt with in a speedy and efficient manner

• Interest in learning IBM Power modernization Tools/applications

Requirements:

• College diploma or University degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering,
• minimum of 3 years equivalent work experience
• Broad knowledge of hardware, system software and programming languages
• The ability to learn quickly and to contribute to a team effort
• A logical approach to problem solving
• Good interpersonal and client-handling skills with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical detail
• Business awareness

• Seeks user feedback from regular demos

Preferable Technical skills:

• Hardware Platform - IBM Power (AS/400, i Series)
• Significant experience using command language, menus and Operations Navigator at V5R3 and prior levels.
• Cobol, RPG, ILE, DB2
• Understanding of V5R2 & V5R3 functionality.
• LANSA development tools - Visual LANSA, LANSA for the Web. – Willing to train
• SQL-PSM, DDL, materialized query tables, MySQL, other databases
• Web-based technologies – LAMP stack
• Nice to have: RDi, Pathfinder, SSMS, AFPU, DDS, DDL, CLLE, IFS, PASE, etc.
