JOB SUMMARY
Prepares food in accordance with applicable corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various food items, menus and recipes
- Measure/mix ingredients according to recipes using a variety of preparation, cooking, production, packaging utensils and equipment
- Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Receive deliveries, check products against invoices for delivery.
- Label, date, store and rotate food and beverage products in appropriate storage areas. Able to lift up to 40lbs.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all appropriate operational departments.
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Qualifications:

- Food Safety Certification required.
- Certificate from a recognized cooking school is an asset.
- Experience in food preparation with an understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
- Ability to operate preparation, cooking, production, and packaging equipment and complete other tasks as directed.
- Ability to work in a self-directed environment and effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
