Job Description
Your Role:
- Leading a group of Technical Delivery Managers with overall accountability for delivery of the Future Operational Programme Build
- Planning tasks required to deliver solutions and identify how these tasks could be split across multiple resources to maximise the speed of delivery
- Co-ordinating development and associated dependencies across teams
- Be part of the Programme Technical Workstream Lead community, working with peers to input into overall Operational Programme strategy to deliver to time, budget, and quality
- Proactively adapt to changes in solution design, timescales, or budget, performing an impact analysis and providing feedback
- Involvement in early Programme activity, providing expert input into the Design approach and document-tation that drives clear scope at build item level – eg WRCEF/technical development object list, Functional Specs
- Review Solution Architecture documentation and Functional Specs to ensure that solutions are fit for purpose from an Application Development point of view
- Validate the level of effort estimation and duration of Apps Dev activities to provide accurate project estimates to Programme Management
- Create a Build Plan aligned to the overall Programme Plan, adhering to timelines, cost, resource utilisation, build item dependencies
- Track and report on Build progress
- Engage with the QA team to inform and ratify the Test Plan
- Run stand ups for a suite of application delivery projects, monitoring deviations to Plan and mitigating risk with proposed actions to bring back on track
- Ensure the creation of quality Technical Design Documents by third parties and Technical Unit Testing takes place and results recorded
- Deliver consistent high-quality code through code review to ensure no issues before hand over
- Ensure adherence to all development standards and working practices, review and improve where we can drive agility and reduce cost
Your skills:
- SAP ECC and S/4 HANA, CAR, FMS
- JIRA (to manage and track development activity across multiple development teams / projects)
- Azure
- SAP Solman
- GitHub
- Experience with SAP ABAP and MDK would be beneficial but not essential
- Microsoft .Net Core and SQL Server
