We are looking for a Java Developer to join our Application Assurance business. We build, maintain and operate solutions focused on helping our customers modernize their applications by removing platform issues and opening up access to valuable business data. The technical domains we operate in are business, platform and operational automation, DevOps and AIOps.

This role would suit someone with a strong technical background in Java Development and software solutions. Experience with containerization technologies is desirable, but not essential. The role will involve working with our Developers and Architects to design, build and operate automation solutions for our customers, both in public cloud and on-premise.

The Role

We have teams who specialise in every area of tech, so you can learn from the best. You’ll also find that you are involved in the full SDLC, from presales and RFP stage through to delivery.

Skills and Requirements

• Strong technical background, preferably with strength in application and integration implementation, preferably with Java, Mule and AMQ technologies
• Expected familiarity with technologies including Spring/MVC, Hibernate, Drools, JEE6 or similar, Oracle DB, SOAP and REST services
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools
• Experienced in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular and Node.js
• Good understanding of data stores (e.g. relational, NoSQL, static) and good understanding of when to use what
• Proven track record of building, deploying and looking after production grade software solutions using modern delivery systems and source control (e.g. Logging, Caching, Security, Monitoring, CI/CD)
• Experience in continual business process improvements through incremental changes (DevOps)
• Public Cloud exposure (e.g. cloud native architecture on AWS/Azure) and exposure to containerisation and working at the Operating System level (e.g. scripting on Unix/Linux/Windows) is a bon

What you'll bring

With 5+ years as a Full Stack Developer, you will be confident developing in Java, HTML, JavaScript and cloud PaaS offerings. You should have knowledge about today’s major platforms (Angular, React, AWS through to the zen of DevOps) and know how to code and deliver effectively as a team using agile methodologies. You have a passion about technology and an unrelenting desire to learn and grow, and that's where we can help.
