We have a pressing need for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to supervise cash flow, financial statement preparation, full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and month-end close. Your responsibilities
- Work on special projects occasionally
- Form monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
- Document budget transfers
- Assemble sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
- Accomplished in credit card management and reconciliation
- Complete Accounts Payable
- Report business license and gross receipts
- Handle monthly accounting close
- Get ready subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
- Formulate cash flow projections, as needed
- Complete cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.
- Administrate Accounts Receivable
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Foundational knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP)
- Solid understanding of Simply Accounting
- Sage 50 experience
- Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Deep understanding of Canadian Payroll
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
- 3+ years of related experience- Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Prior accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
