An exciting opportunity to join the Freight Costing team has become available within the National Supply Chain department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

As a Freight Coordinator (Supply Chain) you will support the team in planning, preparing and processing domestic freight requirements, ensuring efficient movement of products from our suppliers to our distribution centres. You will be responsible for the accurate analysis of data and information from which you will draw effective recommendations on freight options.

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in supply chain operations, and exhibit strong attention to detail and accuracy in their work. With a high level of professionalism and dedication, you will be an organised and adaptable self-starter who provides productive solutions to freight planning and costing. Prior experience within domestic freight is highly regarded (experience in international freight will also be considered).

Role Responsibilities:

• Analyse data to assist with preparation of freight metrics
• Liaise with various stakeholders in order to collate information and data
• Prepare and calculate findings to support effective freight options  
• Present recommendations to relevant stakeholders
• Ensure efficient flow of incoming and outgoing stakeholder correspondence and information
• Organise and update accurate costing functions and figures in the system for stakeholder use
• Maintain strict confidentiality in regard to details gathered  
• Support the National Supply Chain Freight Costing team

Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrated experience within Supply Chain operations
• Experience with domestic freight highly regarded
• Prior experience within logistics is highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Demonstrated experience in data and information analysis
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
• Understanding of ‘Chain of Responsibility’ guidelines
• Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to problem solve and present creative solutions
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
