Chandler Macleod in partnership with our client located in the South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne have multiple positions available across various departments within the business. Our client is Australia's leading designer, manufacturer, wholesaler and distributor of 4WD vehicle equipment and accessories. As industry leaders, they have a presence worldwide in over 100 countries and regional offices In New Zealand, USA, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
We are currently seeking a licensed Forklift Drivers with counterbalance, reach and order picking experience to load, unload products for transport locally, nationally and internationally as well as takedown, putaway and provide stock to various departments within the warehouse for production on a day to day basis. You are required to work in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures whilst maintaining rigorous safety standards whilst performing quality checks.
These roles require successful applicants to be flexible for shifts operating across day, afternoon and nights, Monday to Friday, potential for overtime and weekends depending on workflow. Payrates start from $27 per hour. Dayshift 7.30am - 3.36pm. Afternoon Shift 3.30pm - 11.36pm
You will be reporting to various Team Leaders in allocated departments
Key Responsibilities
Taking down stock from racking for production in each department
Moving palletised finished products for dispatch
Putting away pallets from loading bay for storage into racking
Maintaining stock levels in the warehouse for production
Working with allocated team leaders in each department relating to stock
Meeting daily production schedule.
Read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
Maintain equipment to ensure it does not compromise safety.
Adhere to ARB's OH&S Policies and Procedures including wearing correct PPE.
Attend daily toolbox meetings.
General housekeeping duties.
Adhere to Building A Solid Foundation Program (BASF).
Any other duties as requested
Required Skills, Behaviours and Experience
A team mindset; recognising that the company's success depends on effective teamwork.
Experience in previous operations using counterbalance, reach and order picking forklifts
The capacity to grasp concepts easily including reading and following SOP's.
Sound knowledge of OH&S and Environmental regulatory requirements.
Adhering to ARB's manual handling policy including use of lifting aids or asking for assistance when lifting heavy or bulky loads.
Committed and practical approach to safety including the wellbeing of colleagues.
Committed to work the hours necessary to ensure the continued success of the area.
