This isn’t just any residential build, due to the size, scale, and complexity of their projects you’ll be part of a team capable of delivering multi-storey apartments, hospitals, cafes, swimming pools, townhouses, and everything in between.

What will you do?

You’ll be an experienced, reliable General Foreman able to lead the upcoming apartment stages based in Christchurch.

Main responsibilities include;

• Assist the Site Manager & Project Manager to lead and manage the construction and competition of the upcoming stages
• Manage sizable teams of direct labour and sub-contractors
• Communicate at all levels with site staff and our consultants to meet project timelines
• Be responsible for managing the overall logistics, program and contractors of the site and supporting the project team (foreman and safety etc) to achieve a successful outcome
• Lead and coach the teams

A bit about you

You will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to influence, persuade and guide people and a clear passion for safety. You are reliable, self-motivated and enjoy managing a busy workload.

In addition, you will have:

• Extensive experience on large-scale construction (multi-story) projects
• Experience leading large teams, including contractor
• Be trade qualified working your way up from the tools
• Proven experience delivering commercial or multi-story residential construction projects in a main contractor environment
• Be a team player with a 'can-do' attitude and have the leadership skills required to create a great working culture
• You understand the importance of safety and are computer savvy.
• You are flexible and adaptable and adjust your style to work effectively with different people
