JOB SUMMARY

The Foodbuy Customer Service Representative will be responsible for assisting our sites as they navigate all purchasing related issues.  This would include everything from setting up accounts with new vendors, to troubleshooting out of stock items to help them find suitable replacements. This person will be responsible ensuring compliance to our Foodbuy’s programs, providing exceptional customer service, and building strong relationships. Personable service excellence is key to success in this role.

Now, if you were to come on board as our Foodbuy Customer Service Representative, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding any procurement related challenges
  • Communicate with customer to help them understand proper Foodbuy processes/procedures
  • Utilize BuySmart system to log all issues through to resolution
  • Work cross functionally with our vendors and internal Foodbuy departments to resolve all customer challenges
  • Influence and enforce compliance to Foodbuy programs thereby avoiding spend leakage on non-approved products/suppliers/services
  • Support and enforce safe supply chain ideology
  • Follow escalation procedures as needed

  • Post-secondary education, degree or diploma, in a business-related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency in Excel
  • 3 years’ experience in operations required; 2 years supply chain/procurement experience preferred
  • Demonstrated customer service and relationship building skills
  • Analytical and logical thinking ability as well as proven time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
