About the role
Jenolan Caves Reserve Trust is seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Operations Manager with a passion for driving the highest of standards across multiple outlets. As we are a medium to small hotel consisting of two food and beverage outlets - this role requires individuals who are operationally confident and understand a hands-on role.
Reporting to the Hotel and Hospitality Manager, you will be responsible for efficient running of the food and beverage department, collaborating with the Head Chef, maintaining operational standards and delivering high quality service for each of our guests.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
Highly developed time management skills
An enthusiastic and dedicated attitude towards staff training, development and performance management
A current RSA certification
A current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, or be willing to obtain prior to starting
Previous hospitality supervisor experience within a similar operation
Availability for rostered weekends, public holidays and school holidays
You will also be able to:
Be adaptable and flexible to manage competing priorities in a demanding and complex work environment.
Effectively communicate and work with a wide group of internal and external stakeholders.
Focus on developing each and every team member in the Food & Beverage Department.

The Jenolan Caves’ mission is to connect its visitors with the unique natural & cultural heritage of Jenolan caves, and through that connection stimulate the urge to care for and protect all such special places. Put simply: our mission is to protect and connect.
The Jenolan Caves Reserve Trust is responsible for the care, control & management of the Jenolan Visitor Use and Services Zone. This is regarded as being both environmentally and culturally significant. The Visitor Use and Services Zone includes, but is not restricted to, Caves House, retail areas, kitchen areas, front office, staff and guest accommodation, walking tracks, maintenance areas and the Caves System.
COVID-19 Response:
All DPE team members are required to have received two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccination by 28 February 2022 or have an approved medical contraindication certificate. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful for this role.
