Description

We have an 8 month contract opportunity for a Senior Analyst with a high profile client. This position is best suited for a hands-on person who will be involved in detailed cost/volume analysis. 

Reporting directly to the Financial Planning Manager your responsibilities will include:

- Downloading and analysis of large data sets

- Create reports from very large data dumps 

- Analyze cost components,& volumes, and mapping to the GL

- Variance analysis against plan 

- Provide explanation of variances 

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you are an experienced Senior Analyst with a track record of complex data analysis of volumes exceeding 400,000 transactions annually. You possess strong communication skills and feel comfortable acting as point of contact for various internal and external stakeholders.

The following skills are also desired:

-  Experience with BI systems such as Power BI / Tableau as well as SQL

-  Experience with teasing apart data and explaining your analysis

-  Expereince with analysis of changing labour costs 

-  The ability to work independently, figure things out, but knows when to as for help.
