Our client owns a large commercial property in the heart of the Auckland CBD. The property houses a wide variety of commercial tenants that range from restaurants to entertainment. Their team has grown over the past year and the need for a facilities Manager has become available.

Reporting to the General Manager, your main responsibilities will be the effective and efficient co-ordination of facilities management within the premises, their tenants and managing appropriate key projects.

Duties and responsibilities: (some tasks will be shared with the Facility Managers Assistant)

• Supporting the broader team on key projects that would vary from time to time
• People leadership across a number of areas including health safety security and facilities management
• Managing stakeholder enquiries and leading efforts in monitoring, reporting, and responding to information security incidents
• Managing facility related matters and providing operational leadership and strategic nous relating to facility management
• Adhering to the highest level of Health and Safety standards and managing all preventative and reactive works
• Event planning and management
• Respond to alarm activations and emergencies as well as responding promptly to contractors or tenant’s inquiries via phone or email

What we are looking for:

• Previous Facilities Management experience essential
• Project management experience with commercial understanding
• You will be dependable, positive attitude, diligent, can multitask, work well under pressure and someone who takes initiative
