Reporting to the Parks and Cemetery Manager, the Facilities and Contract Advisor is responsible for ensuring the built facilities (approximately 200 sites ranging from gymnasiums, crematoria, stadia, changing rooms, monuments, marine structures e.g., pontoons) managed by the Parks and Recreation group are assessed, maintained and where necessary refurbished to ensure the department meets its obligations under relevant legislation and the needs of recreational users and/or lessee's.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Trade Qualified or NZQA Level 6 in relevant discipline (Facility Management, Engineering, Construction) experience in managing people
• Minimum of 7 years' experience and proven facilities management success
• Competence with procurement processes and requirements
• Practical experience with quantity surveying
• Experience with project and budget management

• Working knowledge of Health and Safety and building compliance legislation and procedures
