Job Description

The Role

We are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join our 1st opinion small animal practice at Struthers & Scott on a full-time basis (we will consider part time applications also), working between our two clinics in Doune & Killearn. As well as providing a high level of routine care you will also get the chance to develop dentistry and surgical skills, and perhaps even see to occasional snake bite. We are also the preferred vet for the local safari park and although this is already covered by one of the vets in the practice there are opportunities on occasion to have some of the animals in the surgery.

Rota Pattern:

  • 40 hours per week (full time role)
  • Working over 4 days
  • Equal share of Saturday mornings 8:30am-12:30pm
  • Some OOH work Monday-Thursdays on rota basis – 1 night on call every week
  • No OOH at the weekends

About Us

The Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Parks are close by if you enjoy outdoor pursuits. We have well-established, friendly team consisting of 5 vets, 5 RVN’s and 5 reception staff. We have a beautiful purpose-built facility at Doune, which is well equipped with digital x-ray, new ultra-sound scanner and new dental x-ray. We also hold our International Cat Care - Gold Award.

Applicant Requirements

Must be RCVS registered and ideally have small animal experience and confident with sole charge, willing to travel between the 2 sites (approximately 30 minutes from each other)

Salary

From £35,000 negotiable D.O.E.
