Job Description

INNOVISION Boats is an award winning, high end, semi-customised aluminium trailer boat manufacturer. Over the past 9 years we have developed the next generation of aluminium boats for the NZ market. Given our boats exceptional performance and quality, we are growing at a rapid rate and need an experienced Marine Fabricator to join our team.

The role will be working under the leadership of the head fabricator and will include MIG and TIG welding, pipe bending, plate folding and finishing. Some general boat fit out work may be required from time to time. Wide verity of work so you wont be stuck doing the same job over and over again. CNC press operation, folding all the parts for the build, Fabricating/welding the components, building the boats from start to end of fab. Fabrication and welding the alloy trailer, then the fit out as well.

The role is currently based on Auckland’s North Shore.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in fabrication (marine experience preferred)
  • Ideally NZCE or other relevant trade qualification
  • Experience in a build-to-order environment
  • Sound understanding of fabrication, welding MIG and TIG
  • Able to operate a CNC Press-brake
  • Motivated attitude, keen to learn and develop skills

We are currently working a 9-day work fortnight, so our hours at 6am-3:30, with every second Friday off. This offers awesome work/life balance. Some weekends turn into 4 day weekends when public holidays land on the monday.
