Established in December of 2020, Applied Biosecurity Solutions has gone from strength to strength, to a point where we are now looking to find those people who want to share in our success, while at the same time getting to enjoy some of the best working environments you can find anywhere. Our projects are diverse so you will need to embrace change and variety. One moment you could be abseiling down a cliff and the next kayaking across a lake or tramping into areas of our native bush carrying chainsaws. 

In the same respect our projects can be located anywhere in the North Island so this role will suit someone who is able to work away for up to a week at a time.

We are looking to complement our team with someone who has been working in a similar industry and who can demonstrate a genuine interest in our ecology and native species. 

We are looking for high performing Individuals who:

• Have a genuine interest in working in the outdoors and enhancing Auckland’s native biodiversity.
• Happy to travel away for project work across the North Island
• Bring a good attitude and work ethic, who are reliable and take pride in their work
• Physically fit, committed and gets the job done
• Are safety and environmentally conscious
• Reliable and always on time for work
• Full NZ Driver’s license – manual
• Have ecological, pest plant, pest animal, horticulture, or similar experience to qualify for a Team Leader role.

 It would an advantage if you have any of the following:

• Growsafe Registered Chemical Applicator or similar
• Controlled Substance Licence 
• Fire-Arms licence
• A relevant tertiary qualification in botany, ecology, or a similar discipline
• Experience in restoration or pest plant management field work.
• Able to identify most common native plant species.
• First Aid certificate.
• Chainsaw qualified.
• Rope Access qualifications.
• 4x4 and / or LUV certification and experience.
