An exciting opportunity to join the Freight Execution team has become available within the National Supply Chain department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This role is a 24-month fixed-term contract.

As an Executive Manager - Supply Chain, you be leading a team responsible for temperature controlled freight movement and allocation of stock into our Distribution Centres. This role will be key in managing the timely and effective resolution of any supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies.

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent experience within people leadership and strategic planning, ideally with a background in temperature controlled logistics and/or supply chain. You will be an adaptable and solutions-focused self-starter who exhibits initiative and is able to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.

Selection Criteria:

• 3 years’ experience in people leadership and strategic planning
• Demonstrated ability to successfully lead, develop and motivate a large operational team
• Experience within temperature controlled Logistics and/or Supply Chain highly regarded
• Effective communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations
• Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
• Strong problem solving ability with the ability think critically and develop strategic solutions
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; particularly in Excel
• Experience in SAP, Concur or CBIS desirable
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Understanding of ‘Chain of Responsibility’ guidelines

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead the process of inbound freight movement for allocated temperature controlled commodities
• Holistically lead a large operational Supply Chain team with a focus on coaching, development and attitude
• Monitor, analyse and prioritise disruptions to the supply chain
• Manage and develop ongoing strategic resolution processes
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective solution of issues
• Prepare and implement strategies in order to develop sales and profitability
• Drive and deliver the efficient execution of projects
• Lead and coach a team to ensure professional development
• Support the development of relevant business plans
• Maintain and develop positive relationships with stakeholders and business partners
• Ensure adherence to all legal requirements in area of responsibility
