Executive and Employee Communications Manager

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a top-tier communications professional with experience in planning and executing internal and external communications for a fast-paced, growing organization.

This person will drive strategic executive communications for a key C-level executive at AMD. Additionally, this person will drive employee communications programs to increase employee engagement throughout the overall organization.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will be a contributor to the overall corporate communications team, providing both strategic direction and near-term execution for key employee communications as well as select external communications.

Candidates must have shown success and capabilities in developing and executing employee and external communications plans. Candidate must also have experience working with leadership teams, with specific knowledge and experience in the high-performance computing markets being particularly valuable. The ability to collaborate with senior executives, other communicators, business function leads, and employees to align communications programs across the company is essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to think and communicate clearly. The candidate will routinely research, write and build communications deliverables to effectively communicate AMD’s brand, voice, style guide, and content strategy.
• Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and ability to navigate issues to build messaging and plans
• Track record of working closely with executives as a critical communications counselor on communications strategies and activities
• The ability to work effectively under deadlines and lead multiple projects simultaneously
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Demonstrated background crafting content and messaging for diverse internal/external audiences across a variety of formats; solid understanding of PowerPoint preferred.
• Ability to collaborate, develop working relationships, and demonstrate leadership capabilities within a matrixed organization environment
• Dedication to analytics and using measurement to guide data-driven communications.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Significant corporate communications, internal communications, or public relations experience in a large tech company.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field.
