A local authority who I work closely with are on the lookout for an Environmental Enforcement Officer on an ongoing rolling contract. The successful candidate will have experience within enforcement and working towards the EPA 1990.

Job Responsibilities

• Enforce the Environmental Protection Act 1990
• To be responsible for issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) to offenders including those caught littering, dog fouling or incorrectly disposing of their waste.
• Experience in serving fixed penalty notices, liaising with various stakeholders and a team player is important for this position.
• Responsible for investigating fly tipping and businesses operating without a valid Trade Waste agreement.
• Undertake PACE interviews and attend court to give evidence
• The post holder will be required to wear a uniform, patrol the borough on foot and will be expected to work a shift pattern, including some weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
