The Opportunity:
 

Transport for NSW are currently recruiting Environment Managers (Licencing & Vehicle Platform) to join Regional, Delivery & Safety (RDS). RDS IT supports three Transport Divisions; Safety, Environment and Regulation, Infrastructure & Place and Regional and Outer Metropolitan. We have Permanent and 2-Year Fixed-Term positions. These are full-time roles based out of Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available.

The role operates with a high level of autonomy and is expected to determine key operational objectives within the limits of delegated authority. The role is accountable for the delivery of assigned work and is responsible for the quality, integrity and validity of the service provided.

The role is responsible for the overall management of the infrastructure environments used by ICT Portfolios and Projects to develop new applications or undertake changes and upgrades to ICT supported and maintained applications.

 

On a day to day basis you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

•Establish, maintain and optimize Environmental solutions and utilization response to project and Business as Usual (BAU) requests
•Ensure Environmental Process activities and related tasks are carried out in alignment and in accordance with the Enterprise Release Schedule
•Ensure and maintain adequate Environment Performance and Suitability for task – manage additional environment requirements accordingly
•Review Integrated Environments in alignment to Application Portfolio requirements
•Adoption of Toolsets to assist with Environment Management and the management of application layers within environments.
 

About You:
 
To be successful in these roles you will need to:

•Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience.
•Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and guidance to Users for Environment Management across ICT
•Strong analytical ability, integration and problem-solving skills.
•Demonstrated experience working at a senior or executive level in a complex organisation delivering specialist and authoritative advice to executive leadership.
•Coordinate and manage Configuration changes, consisting of multiple change requests, various dependencies and interrelationships, and scalable impacts and risks. 
•Influence non-reporting line stakeholders to participate in Environment Management activities. 
•Deal with and influencing multiple stakeholders to adhere to Environment Management practices 
•Provide reports, including Management reports (indicating suggested actions to deal with current or foreseen shortcomings), impact analysis reports and overall Environment status reports.
•Demonstrate the five ways of leading behaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for our customers, our people and communities for the greater good.


Salary and Benefits 

The salary for this position is Transport Grade 9 ($135,898 - $152,204) per annum plus superannuation and 2.5% annual leave loading.
