Sydney Metro is Australia's biggest public transport project and first fully-automated metro rail network, connecting customers and transforming the way Sydney travels. Our new generation of driverless trains are fast, safe and reliable, and link with Sydney's existing public transport network to provide seamless journeys. About the team

 

The Operations, Customer and Place-making team ensures Sydney Metro is equipped to deliver integrated, reliable, customer-focused and efficient services. We are proud of what we have achieved so far and excited for the full vision of Sydney Metro to come to life.

 

 

The Opportunity

 

Right now, we have an opportunity for two (2) experienced Environment Coordinators to join us in the Environment, Planning & Sustainability team – Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport and Sydney Metro City & Southwest projects.

 

The primary purpose of these roles is to provide specialist environment management for Sydney Metro by monitoring, influencing and reporting on environment performance in accordance with relevant legislation, division systems and processes and best practice.

About you

 

You have tertiary qualifications in an environment, natural resource, planning, environment engineering or similar discipline, or equivalent experience. You have had some exposure to  major infrastructure projects and experience working with contractors, consultants, and government agencies. Excellent communication skills and an ability to build relationships with and influence stakeholders is essential. You have proven initiative and the ability to work independently whilst also contributing to wider team meetings, initiatives and more.

Essential requirements

 

Tertiary qualification in an environment, natural resource, planning, environment engineering or similar discipline, or equivalent experience

Salary and Benefits

 

Transport Service Grade 8 ($120,423 - $134,872) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
