The Enterprise Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for the end-to-end Infrastructure architecture across Harrods, supporting us as we navigate through the next part of our journey. This will cover both our current on Premises data centres and driving our move to cloud as part of our strategy.
This role will be responsible for taking on the current Harrods cloud strategy and driving through the creation of the roadmaps, principles, and guidelines while continuing to evolve the strategy to ensure we have a modern and agile infrastructure/cloud platform. You will play a key role in delivering our infrastructure transformation over the next 3/5 years and will be responsible for the design, build and delivery of the platform that will be at the core of Harrods IT going forward.

Harrods’ IT comprises of a broad and tailored offering to support out our luxury store in Knightsbridge, London and our Harrods.com website, as well as our wider Retail, Sales, Buying, Distribution, Fulfilment and Corporate functions. Our IT offering is supported by a mix of in-house technology and 3rd party partnerships, our success if defined by our integrated and united approach to a full IT operation.
About You
We are looking for someone that thinks conceptually; recognising connections to larger frames of reference (the big picture) and translates between abstract ideas and practical use. Additionally, you must be able to demonstrates clear leadership skills, the ability to influence and persuade at all levels, with well-developed written and communications skills.
You will have in-depth knowledge of the core cloud public cloud platforms with CSP certifications or strong on the job experience. You will oversee architecting, designing, building and deploying both on premises and Cloud Capabilities. You will require a good understanding of modern infrastructure engineering concepts e.g., containers, serverless and detailed knowledge around the delivery of Infrastructure Automation and orchestration.
We expect you to have strong technical knowledge including Microsoft Technologies, Red Hat Linux, VMWare, Data Centre, Enterprise networking, WAN/LAN/WLAN, Routing, Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAN optimization, Proxy, VPN services, Load Balancing. Experience in using CI/CD & DevOps practices, configuring tools “as-code†is also key, as is a solid understanding of Cloud Security, IAM, Cloud Authentication.
