We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join our IT team as a Enterprise Architect based from a wilko site 1-2 times a week and working remotely. 

As our Enterprise Architect you’ll join us as we embark on our journey to become an omnichannel retailer, this is a crucial project for us and this role will be very much apart of it. As the translator between our business leaders and our technical teams, you'll bring the vision to life, ensuring we have the correct technological direction to deliver against its strategic objectives. Taking accountability for our enterprise architecture and roadmaps, you'll define and govern wilko’s cloud and ERP strategy; working closely with the solution architecture and business architecture team to provide innovative technology solutions to solve tangible business pain points in an agile manner.

Taking huge pride in what you do, your role will involve:

• Information systems coordination - Maintaining an awareness of the global needs of the organisation and promoting the benefits that a common approach to information and communications technology deployment will bring to the business as a whole.
• Innovation - Leading and planning the development of innovation capabilities and implementation of innovation processes, tools and frameworks. Leading the communication and an open flow of creative ideas between interested parties and the set-up of innovation networks and communities.
• Emerging Technology Monitoring - Planning and leading the identification and assessment of new and emerging technologies and the evaluation of the potential impacts, threats and opportunities. Creating technology roadmaps which align organisational plans with emerging technology solutions. Engaging with, and influencing, relevant stakeholders to obtain organisational commitment to technology roadmaps.
• Enterprise IT Governance - Determine the requirements for the appropriate governance of enterprise IT, ensuring clarity of responsibilities and authority, goals and objectives. 
• Enterprise and business architecture – Supporting (alongside the Lead Business Architect) the creation and review of a systems capability strategy that meet the strategic requirements of the business. Developing enterprise-wide architecture and processes which ensure that the strategic application of change is embedded in the management of the organisation, ensuring the buy-in of all key stakeholders.

For this role we need someone who has 7 years plus experience in this field, having established themselves as an experienced Enterprise Architect, including having worked in a B2B and omni-channel retail environments. Working knowledge of SAP would be beneficial, but business architecture skills including functional breakdowns, capability maps, business modelling & blueprinting are essential. We need experience in overseeing the design of an API first, cloud native architecture, understanding of Enterprise Architecture patterns, effective migration strategies and key architectural components.
